If you are travelling to the UAE and want to put Dubai on your travelling agenda then the first thing you need to do is check whether you need a visa or not. If you are travelling from Europe, the US, Australia and Japan amongst others you will not require a visa but if you are travelling from India then you need a passport that is at least 6 months old and a return flight ticket. You will also need a UAE sponsor who will arrange for you to get a pre-arranged visa from the Immigration Authorities (www.ednrd.ae) which can be issued for 96 hours or 30 or 90 days, the sponsor will be obliged to meet you at the airport otherwise you could be deported on the next flight.

Once you do get your visa then there are many things to do and see in this sophisticated yet safe city in the Middle East such as visiting the tallest tower globally, the Burj Khalifa or trekking through sand dunes on a camel or a 4x4 if you like life in the fast lane.

There is even a ski resort inside a shopping mall if you get tired of the heat, and the array of different types of shopping and food is astounding.

The nightlife in Dubai is renowned too, with many world famous singers and DJ’s playing here at some of the many venues and superclubs, and Dubai hosts some of the worlds premier sporting events too such as the Polo Gold Cup and Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens as well as the Dubai Marathon for those who love to push themselves physically.

The public transport within the Emirate is safe, reliable and cheap, and there are free WIFI spots all around the city. If you are travelling with children, then they will be spoiled for things to do, as there are waterparks and a whole host of new amusement parks ready to open this year.
