Kenya is a country in East Africa and Indian tourists can apply for an E-visa, which lasts for 90 days. The capital city is Nairobi and the official language is English-Kiswahili. Kenya's territory lies over 581,309 km2 and lies on the equator and stretches from Lake Turkana to Lake Victoria and on to the Indian Ocean.

It is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Somalia and has around 45 million citizens. It is home to vast herds of wildlife, such as elephants, rhinos, leopards, lions and cheetahs, vast mountains and orange savannahs as well as the Great Rift Valley, thick forests, Mount Kilimanjaro and the great tribes of Masai Mara as well as a well-organised national wildlife conservation project, where local communities work to protect local wildlife from poachers or illegal hunters. Kenya is home to many tribes such as the Masai, Swahili, Samburu, Kikuyu and the Turkana some of whom are farming tribes while others are nomadic. Kenya is home to some 45,010,056 citizens and the national currency is the Kenyan Shilling. Due to its British colonial past, Kenyans drive on the left-hand side of the road. The country has a humid and warm climate around the Indian Ocean coastline, but it is cooler around the savannah grasslands which, lie around Nairobi and even more so the nearer you get to the snow-capped Mount Kenya.

The further inland you go towards Lake Victoria, the weather turns from warm to humid, and the borders near Ethiopia and Somalia are desert like. Many people go on holiday from India to Kenya for the famous safaris, and huge wildlife reserves such the Maasai Mara, Aberdares National Park, and Lake Nakuru National Park, as well as gorgeous beaches, which are perfect for diving, sailing or just sipping a cocktail while you catch some rays.
