Qatar is a sovereign country in Southwest Asia, on the north-eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. And visitors in Qatar from India can get a 1 month visa upon arrival in the country as long as they have a machine readable passport that is valid for at least 3 months from the date of arrival. Indian tourists holidaying in Qatar must be able to evidence that they have enough funds to cover the cost of their vacation and must also have a return/onward ticket and hotel reservations unless staying with family members, which must also be evidenced.

In 2022 it will be the first Arab country to host the FIFA World Cup, and as such will expect a lot of visitors keen to see their national team play well in this most challenging of football tournaments.

Tourists travelling to Qatar from India are advised to go from November until March, as the weather is more temperate then.
