Saudi Arabian authorities to ramp up visa fees for tourists

The General Directorate of Passports at Saudi Arabia has declared on the revisal of visa fees for tourist visas from Sunday. 

According to the revised visa fee structure, the first time pilgrims would not pay any visa fees, however for further visits they would pay visa fees of SR2000 for a single entry visa. People travelling to Saudi on a business travel would pay visa fees of SR2000 and for multiple entry visas, the fees are revised to SR3000 for six months, SR5000 for one year and 8000SR for two years.

An increase in the visa fees for religious, business and all other visitors in done intending to boost up non-oil revenues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Travelers from UAE would now pay a revised fee of SR515 for a multiple entry visa to the Kingdom. Though the GCC nationals are exempted on all the visa fees, expats residing in Saudi Arabia with a resident permit would have to obtain an exit and re-entry permit at a fee of SR200 for a single trip in two months duration and additional SR100 towards every preceding month.

The exit and re- entry visa is also revised for the multiple trips for three months to SR500 plus SR200 for each additional month. The exit visa for a visitor leaving from the Kingdom through sea ports will be SR50, while the transit visa fees has been fixed at SR300 as per the revised visa charges.
