Passport to Pakistan

Pakistan is a South Asian country that has had a difficult history but has lush natural resources and a vibrant history, and Indians visiting Pakistan must apply for a visa through your nearest Embassy or High Commission for Pakistan. If holidaying in Pakistan from India you need to apply for a visitor’s visa, which lasts for 6 months. The main languages spoken there are Urdu, English, Pashto, Punjabi, Kashmiri and a whole host of other regional or tribal dialects and the capital city is Islamabad. Pakistan, which stretches over 340,509 square miles is an Islamic country, which you will come to find has played a big part in its tumultuous history and its currency is the Pakistani rupee. Like the UK, Pakistani drivers drive on the left, which is common for most countries that were once British colonies, once independence was gained there was a move to shift to right hand driving but it was deemed impractical as camel trains generally drove through the night, even while their masters were napping, and the difficulties in having to train camels to move to the other side could have taken a long time and a lot of money to implement. It is a country with a high population with nearly 200 million citizens and is the sixth most populous country globally.

Visit-Pakistan

It has mountains in the northern highlands area, the Thar desert and the Indus River Plane and Balochistan Plateau, as well as a coastline along the Gulf of Oman and Arabian Sea and the weather has four very different seasons, with a dry Winter season, a hot spring, summer monsoons and the end of the monsoon period in October to November. Pakistan shares land borders with Afghanistan, India and China and the land has been home to many ancient civilisations such as the Neolithic Mehrgarh, the Indus Valley Bronze Age and has in turn been ruled by the Indo-Greeks, Hindus, Afghans, Sikhs, Mongols and now Muslims, it was even once ruled by Alexander the Great during his great conquest of the East. Its also the only country globally that was created specifically as an Islamic country in 1947. After a civil war in 1971, the eastern part of the country separated and became Bangladesh. One thing you must do when you are holidaying in Pakistan from India is travel through the Karakoram highway through the mountains that it was named after, it takes you from the Northwest Frontier to china amid snow capped peaks and fertile valleys. Another thing of interest is the Kalasha Valleys Festivals, the Kalasha are an ancient people who follow their own religion and celebrate in December with large feasts and dancing, and a lot of music where women sing to the demigod Balomain. And do try the bread baked into the shape of goats, and be prepared for the mass sacrifice of goats, which you as a visitor will be expected to take part in. Pakistan is a fascinating country with the remains of Mughal Palaces, dry deserts and busy cities so why not book a holiday to Pakistan from India.
