New Zealand Launches Visa Info Campaign

April 05, 2017

The migration body in the country of New Zealand has begun a campaign to educate travel agents from South Africa about the migration help they can provide within the confines of the law in response to an alteration in the permits for South African visitors to New Zealand.

The new rules on travels for travellers from both nations was passed and affected into law in November 2016.

South African travellers to New Zealand now need a visitor permit to enter the country. After the move was initiated by New Zealand, South African authorities also moved to adjust its travel regulations for New Zealand travellers as they currently require a permit also to enter South Africa. Currently, agents in charge of travel are being told they require a license from the government so as to be eligible to give advice on travels. “Agents involved in travelling may get a spike in the application for migration from those who are willing to come to New Zealand.

They may be unaware that they can only give the most basic help to travellers, such as giving migration forms for the nation and linking clients with a registered migration officer, so the client does not get to keep the license to themselves.”

The migration service of New Zealand consultation cannot be accessed without a proper license which also includes providing consultation on permit choices or the best way to complete an application form.

“If a client is not sure where to go for the consultation, the travel agent in charge of that client could provide the link to the website of the migration service,” a spokesperson for the migration service disclosed.”

“Do not run the risk of providing unauthorised information about the country of New Zealand.

If the travel agent or permit applicant is not truthful with the migration department, the applications for permits may be refused.”

The public should also not that the migration department is not in charge of giving licenses to migration consultants and is only in charge of distress calls and complaints about terrible services as regards migration.
