Indians to Get Visa on Arrival in UAE

The government of the United Arab Emirates has passed a bill that enables Indian nationals with a passport to get either a valid United States permit on arrival.


The executive decision arrives within the body of long-term well thought out a partnership between the UAE and the country of India, the movement of political, economic and business interests amongst the two nations.


This choice further bolsters the United Arab Emirate’s bilateral relations by providing issuance of permits to affirm its worldwide status as a tourist and business hub. Under the current scheme, normal passport holders from the country of India with a permit from the United States having a 6-month validity period can come into the country via any means for a grace period of 14 days. India is the second largest trade partner of the United Arab Emirate, and the agreement between the two nations totals around $60billion every year.


The United Arab Emirates export goods to India which amount to $27 billion annually, while India exports to the United Arab Emirates products valued at $33 billion annually.


The country of India has investments in the UAE worth over $70 billion through its 45,000 firms owned by India, while the investment value of the UAE in India is around $10bn, and it spans across technology, energy, metallurgical service and construction departments.


There exist joint investments by both nations too like the Abu Dhabi investment authority and DP world. Around 143 flights land and take off among the nations daily, with the number of Indian visitors to the UAE totaling about 1.6 million people in 2016.
