Australia - Nation of many contrasts, the smallest continent has numerous places of interest to visit. There are a couple of those which one must have on their list to visit, during their stay in Australia. 

Why should a nature lover visit Australia..?

Great Barrier Reef

Amongst the Seven Wonders of the natural World; formed naturally by corals; only living object seen from the space, sprawls over an area of 2300 km.  The reef contains an abundance of marine life and is also home to more than 3000 individual reef systems and coral cays. The reef is larger than the Great Wall of China and is a paradise for scuba divers. 

Uluru

Uluru stands 860 meters above sea level, which is even higher than the Eiffel Tower at Paris.  Also, know as Ayers Rock it was declared as National Park in the year 1950.  The National park is home to approx 21 species of mammals, 73 species of reptiles, 178 species of birds and four species of frogs.

Sydney harbor

A beautiful meandering waterway, famous across the globe, is a natural playground for both residents and visitors. This place is surely on the list of every visitor coming to Australia. Indulge into boating, swimming, historical walks, sailing or picnicking at the harbor...

Kakadu National Park

Located in the Northern Province, Kakadu is the largest terrestrial park in Australia covering an area of almost 20,000 square kilometers. The park is half the size of Switzerland. It is home to more than 2000 species of plants and 280 species of birds and several other wild animals including saltwater crocodile and turtles.  The reports say that the park has more than 10,000 crocodiles.

Wildflowers in Western Australia

More than 12,000 species of wildflowers are found in Western Australia. The fact that would fascinate any nature lover is, that more than 60% of those are not found anywhere else on the planet. Go picnicking with family in Coral Coast or Golden Outback or on a trail to find rare orchids in the South West...

There is a lot more to explore in Australia, but these are not to be missed places while on a trip to Australia.
