Visiting the UK from India-What You Need to Know

The UK has a high population of Indian immigrants and this is reflected in how the cuisine of the country has changed, going for a curry is a very popular British pastime, and areas such as Brick Lane in London are world renowned for their fantastic, spicy curries. If you want to apply for a visa to the UK, then you can apply online or at the embassy itself, by making an appointment. There is a charge for visas, which gets more expensive the longer you want to stay and currently the maximum stay in Great Britain is for 180 days.

Tourist hot spots of London

Everyone knows the tourist hot spots of London such as Buckingham Palace, one of the many homes of the Queen as well as Big Ben and Westminster Palace, commonly known as the Houses of Parliament where the UK Government meets but the UK is made up of four countries, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and there is plenty of things to see and do in those countries as each has a different culture and feel than the other. Scotland is globally known for its whisky but has some amazing countryside as well as landmarks like Edinburgh Castle and art galleries such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow which houses famous works of art by artists such as Dali and Van Gogh and is free to visit. Glasgow is also famous for being one of the friendliest cities in the world, where everybody likes to stop and have a chat. Wales is famous for rugby and its astounding scenery, including golden beaches and rugged mountains, and Northern Ireland is also known for its friendly inhabitants and great shopping and nightlife and can be reached from mainland Britain by plane or boat. The UK has a bit of everything from vibrant cities to peaceful countryside, ancient buildings and history wherever you go.
