Russia eases visa process for Indians

The government of India has urged Russia to ease long-term visa process for Indian business as well as tourist’s individuals.

Recently, during the meeting, by Indian Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and State Duma Chairman Sergei Naryshkin, the subject of visa process was negotiated at length. And, in the meeting India has brought up the visa issue and urged Russia not only to ease the visa process, but also to reduce red tape process as well as duration it takes to get a Russian visa. The member of Russian State Duma said that the issue will be taken into account.

Following the launch of E-Visa facility for Russian nationals, India has put forward this proposal in front of Russian authorities.

Individuals can submit their credentials through online and get E-Visa and on arrival their passport gets stamped for a period of 30-days visa. It is specially meant for tourism, medical treatment as well as meeting friends and family members. Citing the current ties with India, Russia will promulgate streamlined visa rules for Indians.
