Indian’s, Chinese, Brazilians and Russians will soon be issued a 10-year visa for their citizens by one of the BRICS nations of South Africa, as said by the South African Home Affairs Department. This new visa will be issued for people with ordinary and diplomatic passports and for those who visits for business and tourism as well. Even people who come for short-term visas are also eligible for a 10-year multiple visa entry, a visitor can stay for a single visit for maximum of 30 days. The decision would be taken by the immigration official at the port entry on the stay period upon the requirements of the visitor.

The travelers from India, China, Brazil and Russia must take a prior permission for 10-year visa. The applications should be submitted at their consulates in their countries and get a visa at the entry port. The Brazilian passport holder is exempt from 90-day visa for business visit, to get a long-term visa, all they have to apply with the consulate in Brazil prior to travelling.

This initiative by South Africa is to enhance investment and trade between BRICS nations and also benefit South African tourism. It will also ease entry for visitors who come for commercial visits and wish to buy and sell products and same time contribute and invest in the country’s economy.
